Love is.. today!

We had an amazing morning together. Bunbun cooked us breakfast, we had doughnuts for a dessert and watched the Apprentice on youtube. Now B is at work and i am getting ready for the Thanksgiving dinner at the friend's new house. I am so excited!

a taste of Central Asia

It is cold and crispy outside, so now our walks don't last that long. A couple of days ago it was sunny and we took the fullest advantage of it by going to a little park near our house. I am definitely not a winter type of person and i get freezed pretty quickly. It became clear soon that we needed a place to warm up a little bit and we couldn't resist having tea at the Uzbek tearoom once again! Actually the last time we visited it back in june! I love it! You order tasty Central Asian tea and get a bonus of some awesome variety of sugar! Mmmm makes me want more tasty hot tea right now.. Why not? 

Here is how to make Bokhara tea:

Rinse the teapot with boiling water, put it in green tea, mixed with cinnamon and sugar, pour boiling water over half the volume of the teapot and let it brew for 10 minutes. After that, add more boiling water, cover the teapot with a tea towel and leave for 5 minutes.

Then filter the tea, add some orange and lemon juice. Pour your fantastic tea into the bowls, put a slice of orange in each of them. Enjoy!

My Bunbun is at work, it is 9:30 and I miss him a lot.. It was awesome to see him during my lunch break today but I wish we had more time. Yes, I don't get to see my dear enough during the week... And yes, today I came to my office at 7:30am and after lunch I took my laptop home and worked straight till 8:30pm.. but i still like my job and i am thankful for it! 

I was thinking about being thankful lately a lot. I guess it conects to noticing even some small things and being inspired with your life and what's around you. It is pretty stressful to live in a big city and I often find myself being irritated at subway crowds, long commute, not enough sunlight and fresh air.. so each time i have to remind myself about all those wonderful things i have in life and what i should feel grateful for! Today I am thankful.

Look what my bunbun made for me! So wonderful!! Love the bunnies! Did i tell you B takes Russian classes? Awesome! He writes me letters in Russian already - so precious!

Also i LOVE the new Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha ... cream, cranberry drizzle and a crystallized cranberry sugar ohh yesss!

Love is...

Do you know why i have such a happy face on this picture? "Love is..." is back!!  The best bubble gum of my childhood is being produced again! (... and i have a package of 100!! oh my, I would have never believed it15 years ago!) It was super popular in Russia and Ukraine in 1990-s! There are 6 flavors: Banana and Strawberry, Pineapple and Orange, Cherry and Lemon, Peppermint and Menthol, Apple and Lemon, Coconut and Pineapple.

The comics were created by New Zealand cartoonist Kim Casali (née Grove) in the late 1960s. The cartoons originated from a series of love notes that Casali drew for her future husband, Roberto Casali. How adorable is that? awww...

Lost in the 50's

Nothing could be better on Monday than having a breakfast with your dear one! Especially going to an American diner and having pancakes! This is what we did. And it was fantastic! Can't wait to go back for more!

(Almost) Winter Walk

Hi Everybody, this is Benjamin, I just wanted to share some pictures from a walk in the park that Katie and I took a couple of weeks ago when it wasn't quite winter.  Now it's a lot colder and more brown, but we are still taking walks, of course :-)

Flying Lovers

It happens that we become very busy and forget about some important things that used to make us happy and remind us what we are. Recently I realized that Ben doesn't paint and sing anymore. Finding a problem is the first step to its solution! :-) It didn't take us too long to organize a paining night. Ben was an artist, I was his muse :-) When i showed the result to my parents later, papa said that Marc Chagall could have painted it. This comparison made me curious to look through some of the famous paitings, i'll post some here. They are pretty good, but for me Mr. B is the very best ;-) Oh, I have to show you the rest of B's works! I'll make a post about them later!

Monday off

This weekend was the greatest so far!! I had four (yes, 4, f-o-u-r, cuatro!) days to spend with my family, my Mr., and friends: walking, eating in and out, taking pictures. And the best thing is.. the next weekend is only in 4 days! I love short work weeks! I'll be posting more about this weekend in the next few days, but now i want to show you how beautiful this Monday morning was in Moscow. It was so much worth waking up early and going downtown! No crowds, no clouds :-) Just my Mr., sunshine and great mood for the whole day! Dear B, you are so wonderful! I love spending time with you!
